Craniosacral therapy

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle technique that works on balancing the body.

Every few seconds there's a rhythmic movement in the cranial bones that affects the whole system. If the rhythm is interrupted – due to stress or physical trauma – it can impact adversely on the other body rhythms, including breathing, digestion and heart rate.

The therapy is performed with the client fully clothed and supine. Paul places his hands lightly on the client's body, tuning in to the body by 'listening' with his hands. He analyses the client's existing 'cranial rhythm', then works on balancing the body, lengthening the spine in the lumbar-sacral region, and addressing the pelvic, respiratory and thoracic diaphragms and each of the cranial bones.

Clients often report a sense of deep relaxation during and after the treatment session, and may feel light-headed. Some even say they have the sensation of floating!
